A leader in the health and well-being industry, UnitedHealthcare serves 18 million individual customers from more than 470,000 physicians and 4,500 hospitals across all 50 states and in four international markets.
To help serve their customers, UnitedHealthcare provides a Communication Resource Center for companies to provide healthcare tools and educational resources to their employees. As part of the plan, UnitedHealthcare wanted to provide additional value-added service and help increase customer retention by empowering companies with a customized newsletter publishing solution that enabled the creation of custom-branded newsletters targeted at company employees. UnitedHealthcare worked with their agency, RMG Connect, to design the site and select Valtira as the vendor to quickly and inexpensively deploy the solution.
For this initiative, Valtira now provides:
- The content management system for UnitedHealthcare personnel to upload and tag articles.
- The ability for HR representatives to easily select the articles of most interest, branding the content, generate PDFs and publish to employees.
- Integration with UnitedHealthcare's other services via webservices to allow users to login, save their newsletters for later use and download their policy documents.
